Over the knee boots are on the radar this fall.

Look at Suri! She’s growing up fast. It seems like just yesterday that Katie Holmes was sporting a baby bump. Even though she is only three years old Little Miss Cruise is ready for an afternoon on the town with her bright pink lipstick and pint-sized kitten heels.
A recent debate about whether they should allow stilettos in the workplace has come up, suggesting health and safety reasons.
The (mostly male) Trade Union Congress states the stiletto is demeaning to women. If we thought so, we’d let you know about it. But why are you sitting around discussing women’s shoes? Is this really the best use of your time?
Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry also thinks its ridiculous and commented
”…these union officials should be spending their time dealing with more important issues. Heels are sexy, they boost your confidence and they are empowering to women.”

There was an interesting addition to Beyonce’s T-strap Dior shoes at the BET awards in Los Angeles. I know its hard to look past the dress, but try. Mizz Knowles platform heels have a beaded accessory on the heel, similar to what you might see on an ankle strap of some sandals.
Here’s a close up so you can get a better look at her heels;

I’m not sure how I feel about this look. I’m kind of on the fence on this, but hope to see more if this, if its done right. Probably in a minimalist way, but I’d have to see to judge. I thought I had already posted this but it appears I was wrong, and for that I apologize!
And another shot of Beyonce’s high heels from the side as she works the red carpet;

I would love to know what you think of this – haute or not?

I think I owe you guys a post. It’s the weather, otherwise I’d be right here with you.
I was just looking at this video a someone sent me and wanted to share. If you haven’t seen it yet you have to watch it.
This made me wonder how often we do things because of tradition? Sometimes there are lots of good reasons to do things the way others do, but there are other times where you just want to make it your own. I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard of a ceremony quite like the one in the video. I know in recent years people are choosing different locations for their weddings, like their back yard or the beach, but it’s still a march down the aisle.
I don’t know why I said all of this. It just made me look at things being done out of the norm. Hope it makes you laugh.
And I hope you do something different tomorrow. Take a fashion risk! Try new foods. Mix it up once in a while.
It’s that time of year I call wedding season. Lots of people like to get married in June or July so there’s lots of invites floating around. Hopefully, if you’re part of the wedding party, you aren’t asked to wear a “sea foam green” gown from hell like a friend was. I know its the bride’s day and all, but in this case it required an intravention!
But whatever you’re wearing, you’ll have to find some shoes that match. That’s where House of Brides comes in! They have a good selection in all sorts of colors for brides and bridesmaids, along with dresses and everything else for that special day. This site has helped more than a friend or two with hard to match colors.
There is a recall of about 3,200 pairs of Charles David shoes by the Consumer Product Safety Commission today which are sold through Nordstrom. Apparently the heel can detach and the wearer runs the risk of falling.
Now that 4th of July revelries are over, we’re jumping headlong into summer which means you need a killer sun-kissed glow for the weeks ahead. Since living in the tanning booth or burning your skin outdoors isn’t the healthiest way to achieve that bronze goddess look, we’re resorting to other options. Here are some of the best ways to keep your skin looking tan and beautiful for the rest of summer:

Pick up this Mystic Tan Sunless Face and Body Tanning Spray that not only gives your skin that sun-kissed look, but also hydrates so that your skin looks healthy immediately. It’s a great stand-by product any time of year.
Give your legs, arms and chest a quick brush-up with this antioxidant-infused self-tanning spray from Bliss. The 360-degree nozzle makes it super-easy to get that even tan you crave.

Finally, give your makeup bag a quick summer makeover by adding the Too faced Bronzed and Beautiful Bronzing Powder to the mix. The eye colors will warm up your skin tone and accentuate your eyes, while the bronzing cheek powder will warm up your entire face and neck area. Just wear a layer of these glowing shades over your foundation for an instant goddess-inspired look.

Maintaining your tan look is easy with self-tanning spray and the right makeup. Add these products to your daily regimen so you can play sun goddess without compromising the health of your skin.
