I always liked flip flops and find them comfy. So glad they have all kinds of different styles to choose from.
I keep a couple of pairs in the car in case my feet ever need a break from heels. It happens. It’s not like I have entourage and can get someone to carry me around like Mariah!
Some high heels are to die for, and some look like shit, and now there’s a pair even made from them.
London-based designer INSA’s 10 inch elephant dung heels. These pre-dipped pumps are inspiried by a controversial elephant dung rendering of the Virgin Mary by artist Chris Ofili. Wow! There really isn’t much else to say is there. Good luck with that lol!
Here’s another not so regular roundup of what’s going on in the blogosphere for high heels, fashion and style trends. Spring is here so the timing seemed right.
Being a celeb obviously has its perks, but its always interesting to get an idea of what some of them are. Free gifts and schwag are nice, but I had no idea how much an appearance can be worth.
At the top of the A list celebs is Rihanna that takes in as much as $100,000 or more for sitting in the front row of fashion events.
A few friends that use the web for dating told me about a site that sounded interesting. It’s called Weopia and works with any dating site so you can get to know someone better. It’s supposed to help you see if there is any chemistry and help you decide if you want to meet them first by using virtual dating. Yup, kinda wild isn’t it?
It seems kinda cool since you meet in a 3D world. I know of similar virtual world sites like this but Weopia is made specifically for daters, with ‘tools’ and stuff to make if go smoother when you meet. I watched my friend Patricia use it and can honestly say this could help.
The part I found interesting is that the site mentions research suggesting;
People who go on virtual dates first tend to like each other more when they meet and are two times more likely to have a second date
I only tried dating via the web a few times before and could see this working coz you don’t really get to know someone from messaging at those sites. Note that you invite someone to Weopia that you met at the dating site you use. Hopefully someone reading finds it helpful!
Inspired by the famous Christian Louboutin’s infamous red sole, the “Louboutin Manicure” was developed by Charles Worthington salons in London.
After applying the top of the nail with the clients’ color of choice, a bright red creme is applied to the underside. The effect mimics the most common Christian Louboutin heels, all of which have black leather and scarlet soles. The only down side (besides the idea of black nails) is you need to have long nails.
There’s always the option of a nude nail polish on top and red on the bottom.
Paris fashion week shoes have some “interesting” styles where Alexander McQueen collaborated with Lady Gaga and some look like Tim Burton creations! And I’m sure you’ve already read about what Rhianna is wearing in Paris…
And a designer shoe hire service called Cinderella Me just launched.
Reminds me of the handbag service in Sex in the City that Jennifer Hudson’s character used.
