A few friends that use the web for dating told me about a site that sounded interesting. It’s called Weopia and works with any dating site so you can get to know someone better. It’s supposed to help you see if there is any chemistry and help you decide if you want to meet them first by using virtual dating. Yup, kinda wild isn’t it?
It seems kinda cool since you meet in a 3D world. I know of similar virtual world sites like this but Weopia is made specifically for daters, with ‘tools’ and stuff to make if go smoother when you meet. I watched my friend Patricia use it and can honestly say this could help.
The part I found interesting is that the site mentions research suggesting;
People who go on virtual dates first tend to like each other more when they meet and are two times more likely to have a second date
I only tried dating via the web a few times before and could see this working coz you don’t really get to know someone from messaging at those sites. Note that you invite someone to Weopia that you met at the dating site you use. Hopefully someone reading finds it helpful!
Today marks the grand opening of the MizzTissa forum. It’s brand new, and light on conversation so far, but I hope you’ll check it out so we can talk shop and possibly offer each other group support for the shoe addiction many of us share.
Some of you know of your shoe addiction, or you wouldn’t be here. Like I’ve heard (not sure by who), denial isn’t a river in Egypt. Take that first step and I’ll see you there. Together, we can make a difference….
Spotted a great site to help you figure out what celebrity fashions or shoes they might be wearing.
Think you’re shoe crazy? You’re not alone. Celebs like Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, and Victoria Beckham are all guilty of a high heel addiction.
My favorite shoe related story of this year is how police offer free flip flops to women that had too much to drink and are unable to walk in their high heels. Hilarious!
If you’re still Christmas shopping and not sure what to get, the Gift Girl might be able to help.
And this article caught my attention, asking the question of whether high heels empower or constrain. link
Now let me warn you in advance these are pricey. At over 4 hun I’m not sure if these are for me. I’m trying to rationalize, like “to protect my eyes” and “they’ll be worn daily…” but I have yet to convince myself. What do you think of them?
Have you heard about this? MTV new season of ‘Made’ premieres on June 30th. The series chronicles the struggles of a generation of young people on their paths to personal fulfillment, and a new online community from MTV called WannaBeMade.com will allow viewers to launch their own personal
development journeys with the help from others. By visiting the site, viewers can quickly and easily find coaches to help them in a potentially endless amount of areas — from cheerleading to acting, break dancing to becoming a prom queen. A viewer, for instance, who wants to be made into a boxer can find boxing experts who can recommend all the equipment, offer tips on techniques, and share insight about the best training spots for beginners, experts and everyone in-between. Every journey will be chronicled on the viewer’s profile page including diary entries and a personal progress rating.
People email me different things all the time, and some of them are interesting offers. BTW, if you wanted to contact me you can reach me at mizztissa &AT &gmail.com. I wrote it like that so the spammers don’t get my email with their programs. No one wants endless amounts of spam. Anyway, a couple of interesting offers I was sent or came across recently…
