I recently had a chance to try heel straps, and I have to tell you – these are truly awesome! I got the clear ones, along with black, and knew the moment I slipped them on I loved them. We can’t wear Mary Janes all the time, and slides/mules are challenging on stairs. I’ve even made passed on shoes I really liked thinking “…too bad it doesn’t have some kind of strap at the top”. No longer a worry!
More info on heel straps. Enjoy!
Some of you might know I have a small crush on Matt Damon.
But did you know we got a chance to go dancing?
A new season means new shoes. Of course boots are a big part of the fall style. So many boots, with an emphasis on ankle boots and riding boots, along with slouch boots (high and low) making a return.
Ankle boots will be popular with skinny jeans and leggings (advice from In Style: If you wear them with knee-length skirts or dresses, be sure to wear opaque tights that match).
But we’ll also be seeing more of the menswear look, like lace up oxfords with a pump heel. Or Mary Janes with thick crossover straps and large buckles. Either could have side cutouts.
These are very versatile shoes for fall fashion, and can be worn with some of the basics you already have.
As for color this fall, black and brown are always popular, but expect to see more gray, especially charcoal gray — in leather, suede, animal prints and textured materials. You’ll also see darker reds and colors like fuschia and purple.
Along with the always popular fall boot, and the menswear look, other fall footwear fashions include;
Sexy stilettos – bright colors and bold prints
Classic pumps – watch for cap-toe, peep-toe and patent leather
Fall is my favorite time of year for fashion. The days are often warm enough for a dress and the evenings allow you to dress with more sophistication with the cool night air.
While sky high high heels have been making their way back into style recently, a new twist on things is the push for a return of the pointy-toed variety. I’ve always loved the the pointy heels - they show an attitude as far as shoes are concerned. So now you’re probably thinking this is good thing because you can now dig out those pointy toed high heels from the back of your closet that have seen the light of day in a while.
Before you get too excited, you should know that the new pointy toed shoe style will be more austere, with little cutouts, high-rise T-bars, and fabric inserts. There will be all kinds of detail in the shoe.
