High Heels Race and World Record

Yesterday was the big race, with Kelly Ripa (from Regis & Kelly) hosting the March of Dimes benefit event called the High Heel-A-Thon in New York’s Central Park, along with sponsor Dr. Scholl’s.

Among the contestants of the 150 meter dash, one contestant (which did not win) stood out. Congratulations to Jill Stamison of Grand Haven, Michigan, was the fastest runner that had the required minimum three inch heels to qualify for the Guiness World Record. Her record time of 21.95 seconds is the new 150 meter record in high heels.

    Congratulations to “Jill Stamison” for her world record for fastest 150 meters.
    It’s really amazing. High heels are very fashionable and sexy type of footwear, but on the other hand these are considered to be little bit insecure kind of shoes. I guess many people will agree with me that even walking in high heels is sometimes not easy, and look at these ladies, these had a marathon in high heels? Waaoo, Amazing!!

    High heels are considered to be wear in a formal function or ceremony, while running it creates hurdles cuz they are not like sneakers and joggers, you just put them on and walk thats it and making a record with them its really like hands off to you.Congrads Jill.
