Well, we would have to start with Mr. Matt Damon. And Miss Jennifer Anniston. Then there is Miss Gwen Stefani. (I would love to shoe talk with her.)

I would also invite the Manolo, because he is Super Fantastic! And Miss Meghan!

Representation from one of the ladies at Stiletto Jungle would be great.

An invite goes out to Kristopher Dukes, Tina from the Bag Snob, and Susan of GlamChic.

What would I serve? Our little mixer would start with cocktails before dinner, some cosmos or something. And then we dine! Not sure about appetizers, but I think I would make marinated chicken breasts stuffed with ricotta and spinach, with pasta and asparagus.  And if there’s room for desert, help yourself to a drumstick from the freezer!

Some of you may have witnessed the evolution of high heel trends as of the last few seasons. Sometimes referred to as the statement shoe, they’re often an attention grabber.

The latest of these high heel trends is the decorated heel. For several decades, the actual heel of the high heel has been simply, well, overlooked.

Christian Louboutin started using what became his signature, a red sole and heel, and that may have been when other designers started considering what they could do with the heel. (Please comment if you can add to this theory)

We now have heels which are elaborately embellished or decorated, and that’s not all! The heels have transformed into amazing pieces of art. They have also transformed the heel completely to the point that it is becoming about design. Exciting times for shoes lovers everywhere!

Rihanna probably loves shoes almost as much as I do, and she’s looking hot in these Balenciaga heels. I love that she takes risks in her fashion choices.
