Louboutin Boots – Would You Wear These?

Posted by MizzTissa in boots, celebrity

I spotted these Christian Louboutin thigh high boots worn by Kelly Brook, and just love them. Tres sexy, but a little out of my budget. But if I win the lottery, these are on the shopping list!

Check That Bootie

Posted by MizzTissa in boots, shoes, shopping

It’s been a wonderful summer, and my poor blog has been neglected. But I have a perfectly good excuse – I’ve been busy shopping.

Hope everyone has been enjoying the fabulous weather!

A few posts you may have missed, but are worth a look…

And the Manolo posts on Jimmy Choo sandals – also to die for

Fall is just around the corner and there’s been all kinds of sales (sorry for not posting about them!).

Now is the time to start looking for boots, and I have my eye on a few.

The Miss Dior II is a style I’ve always wanted. I have a couple that are close, but these are Dior!

And 20% off. Nuff said.

The Gucci Sofia is another style I’ve wanted for a while.

I’m all about the black patent these days, even if prints are hot.

This pair from Stella McCartney would look good just about anytime.

I’m really tempted by these ones.

Have you ever noticed there isn’t enough hours in the day to shop? Or enough room in our closets?

I love all 3 of these but have to choose. Sometimes life isn’t fair.

Shoes or Art?

Posted by MizzTissa in different, shoes

During fashion week in Stockholm there was ShoeMania, and these beauties were just a few on display.

tove-jansson

The designer described his chain shoes creation creation as;

“The shoes express the contrast between heaviness and lightness, elegance and brutality, complexity and simplicity, movement and anchorage. To create these contrasts, we have chosen to work with metal chains at different stages of aging. Chains function as both structural design and the developer of the illusion of not reaching down to the ground or mastering a given form. “

Sometimes creations like these make me wonder if the designer ever intended anyone to wear them.

Paging Lady Gaga…

Summer Flip Flops

Posted by MizzTissa in obsession, sandal

I bought some Sketcher shape ups not long ago and they’re really comfy. I can walk all day and feet don’t get tired.

I just discovered FitFlop and have to get a pair!

fitflop

I always liked flip flops and find them comfy. So glad they have all kinds of different styles to choose from.

I keep a couple of pairs in the car in case my feet ever need a break from heels. It happens. It’s not like I have entourage and can get someone to carry me around like Mariah!

Offensive Shoes?

Posted by MizzTissa in funny, high heels, shoes

Some high heels are to die for, and some look like shit, and now there’s a pair even made from them.

insa-heels

London-based designer INSA’s 10 inch elephant dung heels. These pre-dipped pumps are inspiried by a controversial elephant dung rendering of the Virgin Mary by artist Chris Ofili. Wow! There really isn’t much else to say is there. Good luck with that lol!

The Fabulous Front Row

Posted by MizzTissa in celebrity, different

rihanna-frontrow

Being a celeb obviously has its perks, but its always interesting to get an idea of what some of them are. Free gifts and schwag are nice, but I had no idea how much an appearance can be worth.

At the top of the A list celebs is Rihanna that takes in as much as $100,000 or more for sitting in the front row of fashion events.

Finding Your Nemo?

Posted by MizzTissa in internet, life

A few friends that use the web for dating told me about a site that sounded interesting. It’s called Weopia and works with any dating site so you can get to know someone better. It’s supposed to help you see if there is any chemistry and help you decide if you want to meet them first by using virtual dating. Yup, kinda wild isn’t it?

It seems kinda cool since you meet in a 3D world. I know of similar virtual world sites like this but Weopia is made specifically for daters, with ‘tools’ and stuff to make if go smoother when you meet. I watched my friend Patricia use it and can honestly say this could help.

The part I found interesting is that the site mentions research suggesting;

People who go on virtual dates first tend to like each other more when they meet and are two times more likely to have a second date

weopia

I only tried dating via the web a few times before and could see this working coz you don’t really get to know someone from messaging at those sites. Note that you invite someone to Weopia that you met at the dating site you use. Hopefully someone reading finds it helpful!

Visit Weopia for more info.
